Cycling has indeed drawn enormous amounts of enthusiasts in the northeast section of Victoria where rail trails, mountain-bike trails and road routes exist. The area has been a favorite among both local and tourist cyclists mainly because of having the finest bike train in the area.

Australia can be one of the most difficult prospects when it comes to cycling. It is ringed by a 14,000-kilometer long Highway One and features stunning desserts making it one of the less popular biking-friendly destination for many. However, with its stunning views and the challenges it poses for cyclist, the area has become a favorite among the strong-willed and passionate. You can even enjoy a leisurely 2-day ride stopping the night in Myrtleford where several cellar doors and cafes are available. Cheese, wine and olive producers are also frequent in the area.

Bright Velo on the other hand is the hotel to be for cyclists. The hotel happens to be the first dedicated bike hotel in the area. The hotel was formerly run by Australian cycling champion Wayne Hibberd and is created with Italy’s Hotel Dory as its model. They have available bike storage, racks and tyre pumps available in the facility.

Climbing can be added to your outdoor adventure list with ascents ranging from 750m to 1,280m at the Bright Mounts Buffalo, Mount Hotham and Falls Creek area.
